PARIS BEFORE AND AFTER!
PARIS BEFORE AND AFTER!
Today I have a real treat a Before & After in Paris by Huff-Harrington. You may remember a few other Before & Afters Ive showed by Huff Harrington, who is a Cote de Texas Sponsor.
Huff Harrington has a shop in Atlanta and an online store HERE. They also host trips to Paris and Provence, where small groups stay in their country house and their Parisian apartments.
They have several new trips planned for France in 2016, including a Buying Trip to Paris on March 9th and September 28th. There are also new Paris & Provence Trips planned. If you are interested, go HERE for more information.
The trips to Provence include stays at Les Murets, the beautiful country estate restored by Huff-Harrington.
You probably remember I wrote about the extensive renovation of Les Murets HERE.
Besides the Provence estate shown above, Huff-Harrington has also renovated beautiful apartments in Paris, including the Cremant de Bourgogne, which has just been completed!
The newest renovated apartment, located in the exclusive 7th Arrondissement on the Left Bank, has a lovely view of the Eiffel Tower from its windows, shown above. The studio apartment sleeps 2 and is located on the 6th floor of the building, which is equipped with an elevator.
Before: the studio had two rooms: a living area and a kitchen. During the renovation, the kitchen was moved to the living room and that empty space was then turned into the bedroom.
The building is located at the corner of Avenue Bosquet and Rue Bosquet.
Before: The living room with wood floors and a ceiling with exposed wood beams.
Before: the living area with the Juliet balcony and its Eiffel Tower views.
BEFORE: Across from the sofa is a fireplace. The kitchen was moved to this area.
After! Wow!!! So beautiful!! An antique French daybed becomes the sofa. In keeping with the new lighter trend, the beams were whitewashed as were the wood floors now with a limed finish. Above is a gorgeous antique crystal chandelier! So pretty!!!!
Across from the sofa, the new kitchen was installed in two cabinets that flank the fireplace. The apartments amnenties include air conditioning, washer and dryer combo and fully remodeled kitchen and bathroom.
Across from the sofa, flanking the non-working fireplace is the kitchenette. A mirror backsplash enlarges the space. The kitchen includes all utensils, a dishwasher, Proline burner, microwave, refrigerator, and a Nespresso machine though I doubt much cooking will be happening with all the cafes right outside the front door!
Above the daybed are antique sconces and gilt framed prints. Across, is a marble mantel and an antique gilt mirror above it.
Close up of the mirror. Of course there are beautiful antiques here! The owners, Huff-Harrington sponsor buying trips to Paris and Provence.
I love the fabric on the daybeds French mattress.
The beautiful marble mantel underneath the area is painted French blue, with a print placed there.
The view of the Eiffel Tower from the 6th floor studio apartment.
BEFORE: Past the living room is the kitchen. This was all cleared out and the pony-wall was removed and this area became the bedroom. Another window is located in this area of the studio.
